Dynasties: Selections from the Norton Museum Chinese Collection
9/26/1998 - 1/10/1999

 An expanded installation of the Norton's Chinese collection will feature substantially more of the collection than has been exhibited previously. The collection, particularly strong in archaic jades and bronzes, and in later jades and ceramics, also includes stunning examples of Buddhist sculpture. Works in the collection date from neolithic China (2000 B.C.) to the late nineteenth century. Highlights include items from the Han, Wei, Tang, Song and Ming dynasties.
