Mary Cassatt: Pastels and Drawings
August 19 through October 29, 2006
This exhibition features nine works on paper by Mary Cassatt, one of America’s most important Impressionists. Mary
Cassatt: Pastels and Drawings will allow visitors to explore Cassatt’s masterful handling of a wide range of media,
including pastel and watercolor, and to see the skillful and sensitive way in which she used them throughout her career to
depict women and children.
Organized by the Norton Museum of Art.
This exhibition is made possible in part through the generosity of the R.H. Norton Trust with additional support provided
by The Daphne Seybolt Culpeper Memorial Foundation, Inc., the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural
Affairs, the Florida Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
