Invitation to Bid: Hydraulic Elevator Modernization

The Norton Museum of Art is seeking qualified contractors to submit bids for the modernization of one hydraulic passenger elevator (Car #2, AHJ ID 51486) at our facility in West Palm Beach, Florida.

 

Project Overview

  • Project Name: Norton Museum Hydraulic Elevator Modernization
  • Location: 1450 S Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach, FL 33401
  • Scope: Modernize existing hydraulic elevator, including new controls, fixtures, and pumping unit


Key Project Components

  • Installation of new operational controls and signal system
  • Replacement of existing fixtures with new pushbutton and signal fixtures
  • Installation of new pumping unit
  • Electrical and mechanical modifications as required
  • Integration with existing building systems
  • Testing, commissioning, and 5-year maintenance service agreement


Grant Requirements

This project shall comply with Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 and the Grant Agreement between the Norton and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Contractor shall ensure that all activities under the project shall be conducted in conformance with applicable federal provision including: 2 CFR Part 200, Section 3, generally applicable HUD requirements, debarment and suspension, Byrd Anti-Lobbying amendment, conflict of interest provisions, and all other applicable federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the funds.

 

Qualification

Bidders must have experience in commercial elevator modernization projects, specifically with hydraulic elevators in museum or similar environments. All work must comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
