  • Join a tour!

    Docents discuss artworks in the Norton’s Collection. 

    Pick up your tour wristband at the Reception Desk one hour before the tour.

    Join us for a non-camera photographic art-making experience inspired by the exhibition Cut Up/Cut Out: Photomontage and Collage. Create Prussian blue photographic prints using the cyanotype technique on different surfaces.

  • Curator Conversation

    Dragons, Commanders of Rain

    Laurie Barnes, Elizabeth B. McGraw Senior Curator of Chinese Art, invites you to join her to discover why Chinese court robes and a Japanese print depict dragons, the heavenly sovereigns petitioned to bring rain in ritual ceremonies. She will discuss the three works on view in the exhibition “Dragons, Commanders of Rain” while making connections used by Chinese rulers who engaged in divinations asking for life-giving rain over 3000 years, and rain-making dragons illustrated in the Classic of Mountains and Seas, written in the 4th - 1st century BCE.

    Space is limited; online registration required.

    David Lucca y Los Clásicos 

    Enjoy a tribute to the CLASSIC SALSA MUSIC OF THE 60's & 70's!

    With all the greatest hits from: Ismael Rivera, Sonora Poncena, El Gran Combo, Willie Rosario, Ray Barreto, Hector Lavoe, Tito Rojas, Anthony Cruz, Hector Tricoche, Cano Estremera, Cheo Feliciano and many others. David Lucca y Los Clasicos will take you on a journey to the time when Salsa began and became a favorite for Latin dancers.

    David Lucca has been in the music business for more than 45 years and  has traveled all over the world with many artists including Tito  Puente, Ray Barreto, Dave Valentin, Hilton Ruiz and many others.  David has been nominated for 2 Latin Grammy Awards and has shared the stage with Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuel, Jose Alberto El Canario, Andy Montanez, and Ismael Miranda. Music runs in the Lucca family; David Lucca is the cousin of Papo Lucca, member of the famed Puerto Rican Salsa band, La Sonora Poncena. David Lucca y Los Clasicos specialize in the 70s Big Band Salsa Style for the Salsa Dancers.

Attending Art After Dark

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.

Entry: Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Free for Members. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance

Parking: Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $6 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free.

Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden. Along with great food, The Restaurant serves creative cocktails, wine, and champagne. Reservations available through Tock.
