Open Studio: Art Workshops Join local teaching artists as they lead drop-in style art-making sessions. All ages and experience levels welcome. Materials included.

First Fridays of the Month, 7:30 pm / Jazz Fridays
This popular monthly series features performances by some of South Florida’s best jazz musicians!

Third Fridays of the Month, 8 pm  / Artist Tour
South Florida-based artists lead informal, 30-minute gallery talks about works in the Norton’s collection and special exhibitions.

  • Live Music / Lisanne Lyons

    Lisanne Lyons is a jazz vocalist, pianist, guitarist, arranger, composer, clinician, adjudicator, and conductor. Her career began immediately following high school as the featured vocalist for multiple Air Force bands, after which she enrolled in the University of Miami’s School of Music and received several awards. Dr. Lyons has performed with several big bands and as a featured performer with several orchestras, as well as with many of the world’s top jazz artists. Lisanne is currently the founder and director of the Jazz Vocal Studies program at Florida International University and directs the award-winning FIU Jazz Vocal Ensemble. She is also the director of the new She Jazz Project as the artistic director, mentoring and teaching jazz to young women.
