Art After Dark: February 14

Friday, February 14 / 5PM-10PM

Love is in the air at Art After Dark! Enjoy an artist talk by Maria Magdalena Compos-Pons and a piano recital by Kaleidoscope MusArt. Bring a plus-one and join us for a couple drawing in the galleries. Explore stories of love and lust in European Art and mythological paintings during our Express Tour. Then, dance the night away at our Silent Disco Mix and Mingle.

    Gamin by Augusta Savage and Head of a Woman by Pablo Picasso

  • Open Studio: Through Your Eyes

    Grab a partner and take turns describing works of art for the other to draw without looking. See how well you communicate by comparing it to the original!

  • Arts Leader Lecture Series: María Magdalena Campos-Pons

    Cuban Artist María Magdalena Campos-Pons’ artistic practice includes photography, painting, performance, video, and mixed media installations. Hey work featured in the exhibition The Body Says, I Am a Fiesta investigates autobiographical issues of history, race, memory, and gender, her work explores how these complex themes inform identity. 

    Free tickets are available one hour before the presentation on a first-come, first-served basis.

    30 minute gallery tour of Old Masters highlighting love in mythology.

    Come with old friends or make new friends! Grab a drink, and dance the night away at our silent disco featuring 3 channels of music!

  • Concert: Kaleidoscope MusArt

    Three pianists play some of the most famous classical pieces by some of the most famous composers, including Debussy, Chopin, Beethoven, and Barber.
