South Florida-based artists lead informal, 30-minute gallery talks about works in the Norton’s collection and special exhibitions.

  • Artist Talk

    Join Arden Sherman, Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, in conversation with artist Rachel Rossin. Rossin is a self-taught programmer working in painting, installation, and virtual reality. Her work examines the slippage between virtual and physical space, building hybrid sites for escape and reflection. Rossin was born in West Palm Beach, FL and lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science from Florida State University.

  • Open Studio

    Create a miniature potted cactus with Guest Teaching Artist Pamela O’Brian. Go tiny and learn all the tips and techniques to work in miniature.

    Pamela O’Brian has been building and creating in miniature for over 20 years. A native of Florida, she has always loved doll houses and prefers to build in 1” scale. She has built privately for families either replicating the home they grew up in or renewing an older dollhouse. She is a member of Les Petit Collecteurs of South Florida and of the National Association of Miniaturist Enthusiasts (NAME).

  • Music / French Horn Collective

    The French Horn Collective performs a high-energy fusion of Gypsy Jazz, Hot Swing, and original French music. Led by Parisian multi-instrumentalist, composer, singer and songwriter Vincent Raffard, the diverse international group features singer Shira Lee and a rotating cast of highly talented musicians. The French Horn is a one-of-a-kind experience that will transport your soul to the streets of Montmartre in Paris with their authentic sound and feel.

Attending Art After Dark

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.

Entry: Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance

Parking: Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $6 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free.

Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden. Along with great food, The Restaurant serves creative cocktails, wine, and champagne. Reservations available through Tock.
