Open Studio: Art Workshops Join local teaching artists as they lead drop-in style art-making sessions. All ages and experience levels welcome. Materials included.

First Fridays of the Month, 7:30 pm / Jazz Fridays
This popular monthly series features performances by some of South Florida’s best jazz musicians!

Third Fridays of the Month, 8 pm  / Artist Tour
South Florida-based artists lead informal, 30-minute gallery talks about works in the Norton’s collection and special exhibitions.

Art After Dark’s Pride Night celebrates the LGBTQ+ community live at the Norton! The celebration includes performances, art-making, a special collaboration with the Compass LGBTQ Community Center, and more! 


Schedule of Events

  • Compass Community Center

    The Compass Community Center hosts an informational table in the Norton’s Great Hall. The Compass' mission is to engage, empower and enrich the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people and those impacted by HIV and AIDS.

  • TAG: Teens at the Garden

    Drag & Draw for PRIDE! Teens can enjoy a free social event focused on creative expression in outdoor spaces. Casually create art led by local artists and Norton staff. For ages 13+. Space is limited, reservations required.

  • Spotlight Talks in the Garden

    Spotlight Talks offer brief talks on two sculptures in the Norton’s sculpture gardens.

    5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
  • Hued Songs presents Dark Like Me

    Mark the end of the Norton’s Celebrating Black Florida series with an interdisciplinary performance inspired by the works of Langston Hughes. Hued Song’s Dark Like Me explores the intersection of Blackness & Queerness through classical and contemporary music, dance, and spoken word.

The Museum is closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day/First Night of Hannukah, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. We hope to see you soon – Happy Holidays!
