  • Artist Tour / Michelle A M Miller

South Florida-based artists lead informal, 30-minute gallery talks about works in the Norton’s collection and special exhibitions.

Artist Bio: Michelle A M Miller is a visual artist whose idiosyncratic iconography of shapes, systems, and symbols oscillates between cosmic and quantum, perception and imagination. Spanning drawing, printmaking, artist books, sculpture, public art and writing, her work embodies the geometric forms and radiant energies of an interconnected, entangled existence. Referencing the natural world, chemistry, philosophy, physics, and ancient wisdom, Miller approaches art-making as an entry point for navigating complex ideas, and as an aesthetic and emotional experience that can open a door to wonder.

She has been awarded residencies at Atlantic Center for the Arts, New Smyrna Beach (2019) and IS Projects, Ft. Lauderdale (2019). Her work has been presented at NADA Miami (2021) and E/AB, New York (2020). She has recently participated in group exhibitions at the Coral Springs Museum of Art, Coral Springs (2021) and Art and Culture Center, Hollywood (2019). Miller’s work is held in public and private collections across the US. She lives and works in West Palm Beach, Florida.
