Make Art with the Armory! / Robert Rauschenberg Combines Mixed Media Workshop

This workshop takes inspiration from American artist Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008), whose mixed-media painting "Vitamin" is included in the special exhibition A Remarkable Gathering: The Fisher Landau Family Collection. Artist Kim Rae Taylor will lead participants through the process of creating in Rauschenberg's style known as "combine" paintings. These works fused elements of painting and sculpture into a single object, using a broad array of materials including paint, fabric, wallpaper, photographs and other upcycled items. The workshop will offer a fun way to think beyond the flat canvas, while learning about Rauschenberg and exploring his process.
