DREAMLAND: The Intriguing World of the Subconscious

Chris and Bernard Marden Community Gallery Student Exhibition

DREAMLAND: The Intriguing World of the Subconscious celebrates 100 years of Surrealism.

The Norton Museum of Art is proud to feature 57 artworks made by local middle and high school students who celebrated the centennial anniversary of Surrealism through their own creative perspectives.

The artworks showcase varied approaches to Surrealism, stimulated by the world of dreams and power of the subconscious. Students were asked to step back from traditional techniques and employ methods to express feelings rather than rational ideas.

Organized by the Norton Museum of Art.

Support for this exhibition was provided by the William Randolph Hearst Endowment Fund for Education and Outreach programs.
