Laddie John Dill: Eastern Standard Time

The Norton will feature an immersive installation by Laddie John Dill, a prominent figure in the California Light and Space Movement. Laddie John Dill: Eastern Standard Time is made up of a large-scale sandscape illuminated by handmade glass tubes filled with argon, casting a striking blue glow throughout the gallery. The exhibition immerses viewers in a vibrant, multi-sensory experience where light and space converge to reflect the passage of time. Drawing from his signature use of neon and natural elements, Dill’s work evokes the celestial and earthly rhythms that shape our daily lives. Complemented by one of Dill’s signature blown glass Light Sentences, the installation offers an exploration of perception, luminosity, and phenological experience.
