How to Browse and Bid Online

Browse Auction and Bid

Browse. You can find and browse the auction at this link, by searching “Norton Museum of Art” on Sothebys.com, or on the Sotheby’s app.

Bid. You need a Sothebys.com account to bid. The first time you place a bid, you will be asked to either log in or create a new account on Sothebys.com or the Sotheby’s app. Bidding opens on Thursday, January 25 and lots will close on Monday, February 5 at 3pm ET.

Select the lots you wish to bid on and place your maximum bid. The online platform will place incremental bids on your behalf up to the maximum amount specified. Use the ‘Quick Bid’ feature to increase your bid to the next increment.

Watch your bids! If you are outbid, you will be notified on the auction catalogue page, by email, and by push notifications (if enabled on your smartphone).

After your lot has closed, you will be notified on the auction and lot detail pages as well as via email. If you are the winning bidder, you will receive an invoice from the Norton Museum of Art shortly after the auction including your total charges along with payment and property collection instructions.
