Emerging Collectors Council

The Emerging Collectors Council is a dynamic group of burgeoning collectors and arts enthusiasts committed to supporting the Norton Museum of Art’s goal of introducing a pool of artworks and exciting new media to the permanent collection with a focus on new and diverse artists. With guidance from the Museum’s curatorial team, the Council will focus on emerging artists, galleries, and artworks with a concentration in video and digital art, new media, contemporary art, and photography.

With guidance from the Museum’s curatorial team, the Council will focus on: 

• Emerging artists and galleries with a Florida footprint and/or cultural connections to South Florida’s communities  
• Focus on artworks with a concentration in: Video/Digital Art, New Media, Contemporary Art & Photography 
• This includes, but is not limited to, a focus on BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and Female Artists. 

Members of the Emerging Collectors Council (ECC) are asked to contribute anannual gift of $1,250, all of which supports the Emerging Collectors Acquisition Fund. Members are invited to attend two annual acquisition meetings during each season.  In recognition of their support, we are pleasedto share the benefits of a complimentary Young Friends Supporter* membership for two adults, as well as invitations to a suite of curated eventsfocused on private collections, prospective acquisitions, and educational opportunities.
