"I am enthralled by the experience of observing artworks closely in a quiet and inspiring museum environment. This feeling of conversing with the past through art draws me to Art History, and I wish to work in the academic field or the museum field in the future. As someone originally from East Asia, I am interested in Asian ceramics, especially the blue and white Chinese porcelains made in Ming (1368-1644 CE) and early Qing dynasties (1644 – 1912 CE). This internship allows me to learn about the different job opportunities museums offer, how artworks are selected, and how exhibitions are put together."

Major: Studio Art Minors: Art History, Philosophy and Theater
"I find myself often gravitating toward learning more about differences among artists’ personal philosophies and artistic processes. The current artists that inspire me are Chris Burden, Tracy Emin, Frank Stella, Marina Abramović, and Maurizio Cattelan. Some of my favorite sections within the Norton Museum of Art include the American, Contemporary, and Special Exhibition areas. It continues to be a wonderful experience interning for the Norton Museum of Art. I have the opportunity to work within an array of departments and projects. I continue to learn unique facts about the inner workings of the Norton Museum of Art."
