Family and Community Program Tours
Reserve an art experience at the Norton for your community and after-school group for ages 6 to 18.
Community and Afterschool groups will practice their observation skills with an interactive tour in the Museum’s galleries and Sculpture Garden, with an option to use their creativity and imagination in a hands-on art workshop. Art projects are designed for all skill levels and abilities.
Booking
Reservations must be made at least 4 weeks in advance. Your Tour is not booked until your date is verified and confirmed by our Tour Coordinator, who will contact you about your request within 72 hours.
Types of Tours
Community, Afterschool, City organization groups are welcome to request a museum visit.
Cost
School District of Palm Beach County, Community and Afterschool Groups and City of West Palm Beach and Non-Profit organizations are FREE upon proof of eligibility.
Self-Guided tours (12-18 years old) are FREE.
Dates & Times
Tours are offered on a first come first serve basis. Visits are subject to availability. The Norton works to ensure that programs are accessible to all visitors
The museum is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday between 10am to 5pm.
The Museum is closed on Tuesdays.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday - 10 am - 5 pm
Friday, 10 am - 10 pm (No Family & Community Group Tours Offered Fridays)
Saturday and Sunday, 10 am - 5 pm
The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
The Museum will close at 3 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Your tour is not booked until you receive a confirmation e-mail from the Norton Museum of Art. A confirmation letter will be emailed within 5 days of your reservation request with details about your tour and pre-visit information.
Accessibility
The Norton works to ensure that programs are accessible to all visitors. Spanish tours and American Sign Language interpreters are available by request with at least three weeks advance when booking your tour.
Tour Capacity
The maximum group size per tour is 25. Up to two groups can reserve an experience. We can accommodate up to 50 visitors a day. Groups must be divided into age subgroups prior to their arrival to make the most out of your tour experience. 1 chaperone per 10 students is required.
Cancellation Policy
Tour Groups have up to 72 hours prior to their scheduled tour date to cancel or reschedule their visit. If a group is a no-show, they will be charged an Administration Fee.
