The Norton’s work with Palm Beach Day Academy focuses on igniting  Kindergarten students’ passion for the arts and awareness of museums. Museum docents visit the school to share “what is an art museum” and what to expect on their visit to the Norton. Subsequently, students explore the Norton collection employing themes related to their curriculum. Visits include learning about different jobs in a museum, the elements of art, and enhancing student vocabulary. Students also have opportunities to learn about artists’ processes by creating their own art in museum classrooms.
